INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE
Your privacy is important to us. We built PicFix with privacy at its core because your photos are personal and we respect that.
Here's our approach in a nutshell: We only collect what we need, we don't sell anything, and your photos stay under your control. This policy explains exactly how PicFix collects, uses, and protects your data.
WHAT WE COLLECT
- Email (if you sign in) → Why: To manage your account and save your preferences
- Device info (iOS version, model) → Why: To ensure the app works properly on your device
- Usage data (what features you use) → Why: To improve the app and fix bugs
- Photos you select for editing → Why: To apply AI edits to your photos
WHAT WE DON'T COLLECT
- Location → We don't need to know where you are
- Contacts → Your contacts are none of our business
- Your photo library → We only see photos you explicitly select for editing
- Health data → Not an Apple Health app
HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
We use your data to:
- Apply AI photo edits - This is the main purpose of the app
- Improve the app experience - Fix bugs and add features users want
- Send you notifications - Only if you enable them
Important: We DON'T use your photos to train AI models. Your photos are yours.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES WE USE
We use the following third-party services to make the app work:
- Google Gemini AI (Google LLC) → Your selected photos are sent to Google Gemini to apply AI edits. Google processes this data according to their Privacy Policy. We do not permit Google to use your data to train their models.
- Supabase → Secure database and file storage for your account
- RevenueCat → Handles credit pack purchases
- PostHog → Helps us understand which features are popular (anonymized usage events only)
- Apple → Handles sign-in and payments securely
DATA RETENTION
Photos: Stored while your account is active. Deleted when you remove an edit or delete your account.
Account data: Kept until you delete your account. You can delete your account anytime from Settings.
IMPORTANT PROMISES
- We DON'T sell your data - Not now, not ever
- We DON'T use your photos to train AI - Your photos are yours, and we don't permit third parties to train on them either
- You control your photos - Delete edits or your account anytime and they're gone
- AI sharing is required - Sending photos to Google Gemini is how the app works; without it we cannot apply edits
